Shiki at Tangram is a 2 bedroom residence nestled within the picturesque Tangram Ski Resort, seamlessly adjoining Madarao Ski Resort. The views to the Tangram side of Madarao Mountain and further down the valley are simply breathtaking.

Stage 3 consists of 2 x 2 bedroom residences. We have sold the first residence and the final residence has had strong interest.

Construction of Stage 3 commenced in March 2026 and is due to finish in October 2026, ready for the 2026/2027 winter season.

Tangram and Madarao are some of the best skiing in Japan with huge snowfalls and a North facing mountain. Tangram has a world class golf course in the summer. Patience Capital (the owners of Madarao) have big plans for the area, which will attract more foreign skiers to the resort, with improvements to lift infrastructure, food and beverage offerings.

Shiki is architect-designed, inspired by the Edo period of design, built using the traditional carpentry techniques of Japan, featuring timber roof beams rescued from ancient temples. The interior blends ancient Japan aesthetics with the modern fixtures you’d expect from a high-class ski home. This a true Japanese style house.

Shiki’s modern western comforts include luscious sofas by the designer fireplace, a stunning Japanese bathtub with gorgeous views of the forest behind Shiki, a fully featured kitchen, separate laundry, spacious drying room, 2 bathrooms, and 2 double bedrooms with views.

Each building is set at the rear of the site, so everyone has unobstructed views west down the valley.

Shiki Tangram is just 2 minutes from the Tangram Restaurant district and less than 10 minutes’ drive from the restaurants, activities and facilities of Madarao Village and just 15 minutes from Myoko Kogen
